Maximum-bet terms and regulatory stake limits
A promotional maximum-bet clause and a legal product stake limit are different controls. Neither tells you that the permitted amount is affordable or that placing it is advisable.

A clause may refer to a single spin, round, hand or combined action. Optional features can complicate what counts as the stake. Ask for a concrete example if the wording is unclear. Do not assume a game interface will automatically prevent every action prohibited by a bonus condition.
Keep product rules separate
Regulatory limits may depend on the gambling product and other relevant factors. A bonus maximum does not replace those requirements or authorise a larger stake. This article does not supply a universal legal stake figure because a single number would obscure the need to identify the product and applicable rules.
Record an alleged breach
If the operator alleges an excessive stake, request the exact wager identifier, stake amount, relevant clause and proposed consequence. Compare the record with the terms accepted at the time. Avoid assuming that a general discretion clause automatically justifies removal of unrelated cash funds.
A permitted button is not a complete rulebook
Game software and promotional accounting can operate through different systems. A clickable stake option therefore does not necessarily establish that the action satisfies a bonus term. Conversely, an allegation of breach still needs a clear, fair condition and an accurate transaction record; the mere existence of a general bonus policy does not answer every dispute. Preserve the game name, optional components and total amount debited. If the operator refers to a round, ask whether several actions were aggregated and how that matches the published wording. This is especially important where the interface displays a base stake more prominently than an additional cost. The aim is clarity before participation and an evidence-based explanation afterwards, not an attempt to test the largest possible wager.

Does the highest allowed stake identify a sensible stake?
No. It is a ceiling under a particular rule, not personal affordability guidance or a recommended amount.
What if the account behaves differently from the explanation?
Stop and save the relevant screen, terms and transaction references. Ask for a written reconciliation. Continuing to gamble is not necessary to investigate an unclear promotional rule.
