If gambling is affecting your money, relationships, work or wellbeing, you can seek support even if you are not sure how to describe the problem. A qualified service can discuss options without requiring you to finish a bonus, repay every debt or stop feeling ambivalent first.
- Pause gambling and avoid depositing more to recover losses or finish an expiring promotion.
- Ask a trusted person to sit with you while you contact support, if that feels safe.
- Consider account time-outs, self-exclusion and bank gambling-payment blocks where available. These tools reduce access but do not replace treatment.
- Protect essential money for housing, food and bills. Ask a qualified local debt adviser for help with unmanageable borrowing.
- If you are worried about someone else, you can seek support for yourself too.
Support, self-exclusion and treatment are different
A support service offers a place to talk and signposts appropriate help. Self-exclusion restricts access to participating gambling services for an agreed period. Clinical treatment may involve assessment and therapy delivered by qualified professionals. The right route depends on your needs and local availability; this website does not diagnose conditions or deliver treatment.
If the situation is urgent
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency service now. The services linked here have different operating hours and are not all emergency services.
